Good Eats
It doesn’t take my family long to get sick of the same casseroles and various loaves of meat for dinner. I picked some of our favorite recipes that were a hit at my house and hope they’ll be the same at yours. Click on the name of the dish to go the website with the recipe. We’re always trying new recipes and I’ll update with more as they come. Bon appetit!
Chicken Piccata
Falafel

Egyptian Koshari (serve as a main meatless dish or a side dish to falafel night)
*Notes: This dish is a lot like a spicy meatless goulash but better. It is also very inexpensive to make.

Chicken Tagine
**notes: I added only 1 onion for my recipe and put in frozen chicken breast strips and it still turned out delicious. I also ended up needing to add a little more chicken stock a few hours into the cooking process.
Slow Cooker Carnitas
**notes: I subbed chuck roast for pork and it was great. This meat is so tender and good for topping rice, making sandwiches, or putting in a pita or taco. Such a great spicy and sweet flavor combo. This was even a hit with the kids, who aren’t normally big meat eaters.
No Fry Crab Rangoon (aka Crab Cheese)
Chicken Slaw Salad
*notes: This dish is even better if you add a can of mandarin oranges and add crushed up uncooked ramen noodles. I also use slivered almonds instead of sunflower seeds.

That was supposed to be “carnitas”.
